Here was a post I wanted to do last week, but with the whole "moving to a new city" ordeal it had to be moved back a little. This is a collection of how some prominent people reacted to the Obama right after it happened, enjoy!
First, the Young Turks is what I was watching, so this is what I saw, either way this is a real time reaction.
On November 5th the 43rd President, George W. Bush spoke about the Obama Victory.
Next is former Republican Secretary of State Colin Powell.
And Current Republican Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice.
Sticking with Politicians here is Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi speaking the Day after.
How about the Rev. Jesse Jackson.
Still with the African-Americans, PBS Host Tavis Smiley.
Fox News Commentator Juan Williams teared up while giving his analysis after Barack was named.
Oprah, of course was well documented on Election Night, CNN caught up with her in the crowd.
Speaking of Oprah, she had Will Smith on after the win and here is his reaction.
Those are interesting, but let's take a break to hear Lil O'Reilly's reaction.
Internet Phenomenon Ron Paul opted to speak on with Conspiracy Theorist Alex Jones on the day after the Election.
How about the Ladies of the View, Sherri Sheppard teared up a little.
Here is a little celebrity comment montage from CNN including an interview with Michael J Fox who is obviously excited at the prospect of Stem Cell research booting back up.
How about the Rap Community? Busta Rhymes perhaps?
How about the Sport Community? Here is Lebron James reaction.
Larry King had a whole show with Reactions the night after the Election, In this clip we see Bill Maher with his first reactions, following Bill is Magic Johnson.
Might as well continue with Part 2 of this special, in this clip - Michael Moore, More Jesse Jackson and believe it or not Pat Robertson...which gets cut off, don't worry Part 3 is below, but he mostly speaks about Palin.
Part 3, Once Robertson is done speaking King lands and interview with Martin Luther King III.
How about the Redneck reaction.
ah yes and how can I forget! the TDS Gang Reaction.
First Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert announcing it.
and the whole crew showing up

Posted by Unknown | Tuesday, November 04, 2008 | American Election 2008, Stephen Colbert, The Daily Show | 0 comments »I haven't watched television in months, I used to have my computer connected to Cable TV but I disconnected it because it kept knocking my internet off. I heard Colbert and Stewart were getting together for a live election night special and south park was going to have a special election show to. So for the first time in a long time I dove behind the desk and hooked up the cable again. Static. Fuck!
Couple weeks ago the Cable company called, they asked "Would you like free cable for a month" - I said "sure" - he starts clacking away at his keyboard, "oh..sir looks like cable is already hooked up, thats a mistake". He was right, the cable I was watching before was free, the last people forgot to shut it off, this apartment has had free cable for two years, I just never used it. At that moment I remembered the free cable and told the guy "nevermind, cya" I remembered the TDS special and. static. that my friends is instant karma. I should have taken the free cable, just for this evening, as it will be the most memorable evening ever, I may have to settle for the streaming CNN coverage, unless somebody knows where I can find the TDS special streaming. I hate TV, but I love some of the programming.
ok, enough about me, here is the the November 3rd episode. Enjoy!
